Rocket League
Esports 2020-2021
We are proud to offer Esports again for the 2020-2021 school year. We will be participating through Toornament.
This season we will be offering four games:
Competition Calendar:
The season will begin the week of October 26, 2020.
Teams will play a regular-season format (we will utilize Swiss tournament style pairings for matchups) followed by a single-elimination playoff for advancing teams Top 4 in state.
Tuesday: Hearthstone (1 v 1 Game)
Wednesday: Rocket League (3 V 3 Game) (School is required to purchase the game).
Thursday: SMITE (Teams of 5)
Friday: FIFA 20 (PC) (1 v 1 Game) (School is required to purchase the game).
Cost: $75 per student. A student can compete in 1 of the games or up to all 4 for their participation fee.
Programs might find it easiest to build your esports teams around 5 player SMITE teams. Smite is a team activity that benefits from a coach and strategy like all other sports. Or around the Rocket league teams which is made up of 3 players. Then the other 2 games can be thought of as additional activities for your students.
Competition is limited to students in 9th-12th Grade (13 and up).
